How do I completely shut down my Windows 7 computer?

When turning off your computer it is best to do so from within the Operating System.

To shut your computer down in Windows 7:

1. Click on the Start button.
2. From the Start menu, click the?Shutdown button?located on the?lower right corner of the Start menu.

   

   Your computer will now start the Shut Down process, closing all programs and turning the computer completely off.
